19:04:08 Jan 4th 10 - Mr. Pikachu: There is no way they gathered that much income to created hundreds of thousands of AMs by farming! They had to have made a decent amount of income by conquering. I hate that FATE tends to look out for themselves and themselves only. They want to keep a dynasty together and preserve this great kingdom they have. But I must applaud them for what they were able to do last era.

It could've been easy to get tons of stone for pretty good deal, then StG, then spend more, then StG. Over and over again.. it gives a pretty good profit. :)

FATE dominated BECAUSE they chose a good race setup. Fate did well because of excellent organization, communication, and strategy. Elves blossom early-mid era, and they farmed until then, then dominated. No one picked Elves because "Fate did well with Elves so they must be a good race"; but because Elves were simply a superior race last era. Elves are pretty fucking mediocre this era with the science changes, and some races completely outshine them now. If you put a Halfling in the same conditions as an Elf, and allow him to farm for the same amount of time that an Elf would need to farm to get high magic/military/mining science; then the Halfling would be far more useful. That is of course excluding the fact that Halfling are also the best OOP now and a very good race all era long. That said, I doubt FATE has as many elves.
